Golf Communities

Lake Norman is home to various private and public golf courses, with many homes situated along the fairways.  Some include Birkdale Golf Club, Cowan’s Ford Country Club, Mallard Head Country Club, Verdict Ridge Country Club and many more.  Call for a complete list in our relocation package.

Cowan's Ford - Nestled along Lake Norman, this beautiful 18-hole championship course follows Donald Ross standards and offers all levels of golfers the chance to play fun and challenging shots.  The course was completely renovated in 2002 and features ponds, natural creeks, and wide corridors lined by dense woods.  The Country Club also offers swimming, tennis, and a private dock and boat ramp available to members.

The Point - Lake Norman's premier golf and waterfront community, located in an idyllic setting in Iredell County.  Reminiscent of Nantucket, this is the newest of the golf & lake communities in the area, with a golf course designed by Greg Norman.  This community also has one of the best school districts in the region.

SkyBrook - The "course of a lifetime," designed by renowned golf course architect John LaFoy runs through Skybrook, a most spectacular Huntersville golf course community.  In addition to the golf course, tennis courts, pool and water park, you may also enjoy Skybrook Central Park, featuring a full-sized soccer field, volleyball court, basketball court and playground. 
North Charlotte


Verdict Ridge - Verdict Ridge was voted the #2 new course in North Carolina in 1999 and was host to the 2001 US Open qualifying. Rolling hills and natural hardwoods serve as the backdrop for 18 lush fairways and the finest greens in the Charlotte area.  A variety of home designs surround the course.

Westport Golf Club - Located in Denver, just 20 minutes from downtown Charlotte, this is a must-play course.  This course is a true delight and is considered one of the best designs in the Charlotte area as seen by the beautiful tree-lined fairways with gentle rises and falls.
